About Aimee

I was led to this career because I have a love for those who aren’t always given a voice, maybe haven’t found theirs, or had the opportunity to share their own unique one. My expertise lies in meaningful engagement, opportunities for enrichment, and a commitment to empowerment. I am excited to have a team of therapists who believe in these principles.

Katalina Diller MT-BC

Board Certified Music Therapist

Katalina is a Board-Certified Music Therapist originally from Northern Virginia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Shenandoah University in 2023. As part of her training, she completed a clinical internship in hospice and palliative care, where she provided music therapy services to older adults at end of life.

Katalina began her professional career in an inpatient mental health setting and has worked with individuals with a broad spectrum of diagnoses. She is passionate about exploring how music can uniquely support each person she works with, both in the moment and over time. Her approach is rooted in person-centered care, and she thoughtfully tailors each session to meet the individual needs and goals of each client.

Outside of her clinical work, Katalina enjoys spending time outdoors—hiking, camping, rock climbing, and sharing nature with friends and family.

Therapy

Through assessment and goal planning, we will use music and music-based strategies and together we will work to improve health, well-being, and functional skills. We work to support all abilities, with a strength-based approach welcoming neurodivergence and all types of disabilities.

Lessons

While music lessons are not music therapy, there are many benefits to learning to play an instrument! We may also teach individual and group lessons for voice, guitar, ukulele, and piano when our schedules allow.

Consulting

Sometimes it helps to bring in an outside opinion. With me as a creative consultant, we can work together to talk about ways you use music in your environment: classroom, office, or home and see if there are ways to use it more effectively. Music can increase relaxation, motivation and cooperation.
