About Aimee
I was led to this career because I have a love for those who aren’t always given a voice, maybe haven’t found theirs, or had the opportunity to share their own unique one. My expertise lies in meaningful engagement, opportunities for enrichment, and a commitment to empowerment. I am excited to have a team of therapists who believe in these principles.
Aimee is a Board-Certified Music Therapist who received her Master’s in Music Therapy from University of the Pacific- San Francisco. She is grateful for the experiences she has had in many different settings working with and in mental health, memory care, hospice, children with life-threatening and chronic illness, rehabilitation and developmental disabilities. She completed her internship at UCSF Children’s Hospital-Mission Bay. Aimee also has an additional certification in Neurologic Music Therapy which focuses on research with music and the brain.
Aimee is a classically trained lyric soprano and before going back to school to pursue music therapy spent some time on the stage. Some of her favorite performance credits include Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, and Belle in Beauty and the Beast.

Katie is a Board-Certified Music Therapist from Raleigh, NC, who received her Bachelor's in Music Therapy from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, in 2019 and her Master's from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO, in 2023. She completed her music therapy internship at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in 2019, where she expanded her passion for sharing the gift of music and music therapy among many diverse medical populations. Katie's professional experiences have largely included work with children and adults who have diverse needs and diagnoses including intellectual and developmental disabilities. Katie aims to use her education and training to meet clients in a musical space that offers flexibility in approach based on both personal need and preferences. In addition to being a music therapist, Katie also teaches music and participates in her own musical endeavors. Some of Katie's favorite musical activities have included directing music for an acapella group, singing in community and advanced chamber choirs, and performing on stage in musical theatre. If Katie is not living out her musical dreams, you may find her teaching dance fitness or playing various sports like ultimate frisbee and pickleball!
Therapy
Through assessment and goal planning, we will use music and music-based strategies and together we will work to improve health, well-being, and functional skills. We work to support all abilities, with a strength-based approach welcoming neurodivergence and all types of disabilities.
Lessons
While music lessons are not music therapy, there are many benefits to learning to play an instrument! We may also teach individual and group lessons for voice, guitar, ukulele, and piano when our schedules allow.
Consulting
Sometimes it helps to bring in an outside opinion. With me as a creative consultant, we can work together to talk about ways you use music in your environment: classroom, office, or home and see if there are ways to use it more effectively. Music can increase relaxation, motivation and cooperation.
A session may include:
Active music making: singing, playing instruments, moving the body
Receptive experiences: listening, relaxation, connecting to music.
Improvisation: spontaneous music creation with supportive structure and open expression
Compositional experiences: writing songs, lyric and music creation
Music is versatile, accessible, organized, powerful and non-threatening which makes it an effective therapeutic medium for all ages and abilities.
